As I write, the "Media" is buzzing with the news that the Lisbon treaty will now almost certainly remain unchallenged, and the EC moves into another stage of integration. A study of the original EEC chart for 00.00 hrs. 1 Jan. 1958, Brussels, with accompanying Transits and Progressions will describe this development, so, no surprise to the Astrologically inclined. The next session of Totnes Astrology at 6 Plymouth road, Totnes, at 7.30 p.m. on Fri. 13 Nov. will explore this issue, along with The Saturn/Pluto Squares; and, charts and inspiring concepts connected with Chalice Well in Glastonbury, a place I know well (no pun intended) through past association.
Any arrangement, political or otherwise, which has material rather than spiritual concerns and values at the very core of it's philosophy, may prove in the long run to be seriously deficient in both Light and bouyancy- how long can it run? A water source such as Chalice Well can pour forth its blessings until the end of Time; simple, natural, freely given to all who thirst. The same can rarely be said of Man's constructions. Abbott Whiting of Glastonbury, the last holder of that office, standing on the summit of the Tor, awaiting execution by the order of Henry the Eigth, on a dark November morning in 1539 may have similar thoughts.Confined the previous night in a small room over the Abbey Gatehouse he had, I can sense, been visited, in his desolation by an Angel, or comforting Spirit, and received much comfort and reassurance concerning the Future- his own, and that of his beloved Glastonbury.
He would, he knew, return in a new form to this, the plane of Earth, at a time of crisis and transformation, during and after which there would be a restitution of much that had been lost through the fear and greed of some of his fellow men. Consider the legend of the Phoenix, perhaps, as an apt metaphor for the era we now enter...
Meanwhile, in this year of the Jupiter/Neptune/Chiron conjunction in Aquarius the development and acknowledgement of many links and friendships far and wide continues. I can think of no better advice at this time than that of the Quaker, George Fox, to... "...walk cheerfully over the World, answering that of God in everyone."

Very much enjoyed this one, dear Og. (Glad you're up at last!).
ReplyDelete31st October at Chalice Well was a useful antidote to the trick-or-treat culture that has infiltrated our culture from America within our lifetime. Lanterns round the vescia piscis, a wall of tealights in King Arthur's Court, two braziers of fire between there and the Guardian Yew Trees. A shamanic visualisation by way of ceremony, followed by shamanic drumming and chanting. Small groups in silent communication around the well, the well head, the spring, the angel sanctuary, and at various points of the garden.
You might like to google the phoenix crop circle of 2009, which appeared not far from here, though I was only made aware of it in the autumn, by which it was no longer there.
