Cosmology and Other Interesting Stuff

 Dear Friend;

 Early morning -  I sit to compose a Blog -the inobtrusive polite buzz of Radio 3 from the next room; my eye is drawn to the "Alt" key on the keyboard in front of me.
Alt = "High" (Latin - "Altus".) -a message from up there" ?
Probably. While we are "down here" we are in a position to "earth"  energy from "up there" -as we do so, consciously and, perhaps, joyfully ?, we help the Quickening of the Planet and all who sail in her/with her in this endless whirling spiral dance around the Sun - at 19 miles per second.

The Sun - source of Light and Life - a Star - and our "local" conection to the billions of other Stars with their countless Planets in a (Physical;) Universe that we have only just begun to explore.

Our nearest "Neighbour", Proxima Centauri is only 4 Light Years Distant.However, thought, telepathy, the mind - connects instantly - and perhaps we will find that,ultimately,as we are essentially pure Mind, we will not need to transport our bodies around in such a frantic way as we do at present, - but move in and out of the physical with more ease and understanding ;- and there are some pursuits, of course, which are best enjoyed via the (temporary) garment of the physical body - and there lies a major attraction which pulls us back out of the Timeless into this world , perhaps, too often - or more often than really necessary... ?

Now - the streaming forth of Life and Consciousness seems to be about to slip into a higher gear - and take an Upland road from which the view is much extended -as here in South Devon the road from Kingsbridge to Salcombe lifts you from the valley onto the ridge where lies Malborough (once a Viking settlement) - with Dartmoor to the North and the great Bolt Head and the sea to the south - and the heart lifts skyward, ascending as the Lark.(..at least, it does in my case...).

Then - the Mayan Calendar "runs out" on 21 December 2012 - what is the implication ? I asked, some time ago, the Grand Old Oracle - the I Ching ,concerning this  - and received the Hexagram "HUAN" - Dispersion; Dissolution - no 59. -which offers the following:-

 " Here the subject is the dispersing and dissolving of divisive egotism." It talks of:- that which "awakens a consciousness of the common origin of all creatures" - and - "...the melting of Ice Floes - ( well- Global Warming!) - as the hardness and selfishness of the heart has lead to rigidity and separation from others." Then - "... the hearts of men must be seized by a devout emotion - shaken by a religious awe in the face of  eternity - stirred with an intuition of the One Creator of all living beings, and united through the strong feeling of fellowship experienced in the ritual of divine worship." - Wow..

The individual Moving Lines give further insight, but the passages from the Commentary quoted above convey the essential meaning of the Hexagram.
That was the response to one person's (my) enquiry - yours could invoke a quite different reply. Yet any sincere enquiry will produce a sincere response - from the I Ching. Though, as with any genial, but elderly friend - best not to trouble too often with superficial issues that will find their own resolution - given a little time.

  An Astrological;perspective - the next year or so sees a number of Planets transiting the Water Signs - at times there will be no less than 8 of our Planets in the Water Signs in 2013- a "wet" year by any standards, literally and metaphorically.
 Saturn's move into Scorpio,to the very day,in October, co-incided with the emergent "Savile Scandal"- of which you have no doubt heard; -unless you arrived, yesterday, from the Andromeda Galaxy . (But - even there you probably have "Sky News", so you'll be Up To Date with all that.....)


Whatever happens, though,when you  are emerging from a long dark tunnel - the Light, suddenly encountered, may at first dazzle and confuse. - but soon you enjoy the prospect of the "New Country" before you.

 After all -it's not where you go, but "Where you're at" that matters...

Let's keep communicating -and meeting together - ( I mean in general - my living room can only hold so many people at one time...) over this Winter period - to and beyond the Winter Solstice period. There is strength, and comfort, in shared vision - not to mention the tea and biscuits...

There's a Drone in my Soup

Hello Friends..

Are you sitting comfortably ? - well, here's a story:-

2 monks were walking a long trail in the Tibetan foothills. The younger monk said to the elder- 
" This is a hard old road - I wish that the entire length of it could be paved with the softest cow-hide to make our progress easier".
The elder monk replied- " Perhaps you should make for yourself a good pair of sandals - that would be just as effective " (and, of course far more satisfactory from an ecological/carbon friendly/Animal Rights perspective).

It's the old adage -you can't possibly control the World and all that it presents to you,(unless you are a certain pathological personality type - frequently found amongst Politicians and the upper echelons of the banking fraternity - who believe such things are possible) -  but you can "go prepared " to meet it .

Otherwise - the ongoing Uranus/Pluto Square aspect  - Aries to Capricorn, is producing/co-incident with the great churning and discontent now growing in the world as we experience this time of Extremes - contrasts between Have/Have Not - Power and Poverty, Fire and Flood, etc. Previous "challenging" aspects between these 2 have a track record of reform/revolution/revelation - and this series of 7 Squares between them - 2012-15  -will probably be no exception....
 Saturn leaves Libra to begin it's occupancy of Scorpio on 5 October. Very probably, incredulity and exasperation with Conditions In The World will begin to morph into a fierce determination to Do Something About It - over the following 2 or 3 years.

 Pluto, in 2013 (assuming we have a 2013 - end of Mayan Calendar - but  - I have Talks planned for January so I guess we're OK there...) - reaches the very "Political"degree of 10 Capricorn with the potential for a"Domino" effect around the Planet as "Rotten"systems and constructs could well crash in a collective "crunch" time.
The need,then, would be - to recognise and to manifest a/the different paradigm which will serve us better in the next major chunk of  Human Life on Earth.Not to mention all the other Kingdoms who co-inhabit here with us. Discuss it with your Cat....

For that- we need all the help we can get - from our friends and helpers -on all dimensions - visible and invisible, Angels are aware of our crisis and potential for rapid "evolution" - just ask ...

- It's been a while since the last Blog from Og - the focus here now includes my Programme with Totnes F.M.- "Earthstation Og" - mainly Astrology/Astronomy (with Music and Guests on occasion.)

You may have heard of Nicolai Tesla - the Croatian born Promethean pioneer of all things Electrical.In 1901 he began to construct, on Long Island, a tower - the first station for his World Wireless System.Along with this - he had discovered, and demonstrated - how electricity can be conveyed around the Earth via "Terrestrial Statuionary Waves" - using the Earth's natural Magnetic Resonance as a "carrier".

 This system would have provided, it is said, free electricity for all - however, his financial backers, including J.P. Morgan, began to blanch at the thought , saying  "where's the meter?"
 No free electricity, then! But now we see that the coming of the Internet has realised a substantial part of Tesla's vision.

 The Astrological interest here - apart from Tesla's Natal Chart itself, which shows both Pluto and Uranus in Taurus in the First House - Uranus Conjunct Algol - by reputation the most "difficult" of influences- and Pluto conjunct the Ascendant exactly sextiling Saturn in Cancer - great perseverance, inclined to solitude, needs privacy - especially with the 4th House Sun in Cancer - lies with the 111 Patents secured for his work -and particularly with the Electrical Lighting Patent of 23 June 1891.

 We see the exact Conjunction of Neptune and Pluto in Gemini - an aspect which occurs every 5oo years - truly epochal - in this case, Gemini, signifying a great surge in the art of Mass Communication.
The North Node of the Moon - 5 Gemini - the symbol for which (Sabian Symbol) - "Workmen drilling for oil"  -  avidity for material profit - the drive to capitalise on resources discovered or revealed..

 Now, late May 2012, it is the SOUTH node which lies in 5 Gemini (..avidity for profit..) - suggesting an experience more or less completed - time to release the issue, while the North Node is in 5 Sagittarius -  "A game of Cricket",  - an encouragement to PLAY FAIR ! work together, take our turn, cultivate and express the higher virtues exemplified by this, the most "gentlemanly" of sports - which, of course, appeals to men and women alike.

 Because of the complexities of the Moon's Nodal Cycle the North Node lies in 5 Sagittarius (and the South Node in 5 Gemini) from 7 April to 9 June this year, 2012.
 In this way does the Cosmos "Speak" to us- in this case offering encouragement, collectively, to relinquish the "avidity for profit" stance in favour of the "Game of Cricket" scenario.
 Signposts on ther Road of Life - if you care to note them.
 Also - in general - at this time to take the "Sagittarian" turning - toward faith, hope and optimism - with a global view - thankful for our lives and for the oportunity while in Incarnation to offer and receive Hope, Significance and Blessing one to another.

 By the year 2020, the  Nodal Cycle brings Gemini, in turn to the North Node (Future orientation ) position - more on that nearer the time! - but 2020 does also bring the next Jupiter/Saturn Conjunction - this time in Aquarius- one wonders what we can make of that !?

Study War No More

Dear Friend:

Here we are - Spaceship Earth has arrived in Zone 2012. Orbiting our guardian Star, the Sun, at 67,000 miles per hour we continue the Waltz Without End around Galactic Centre, in the company of the other 350 Million  known Galaxies, who are performing a similar feat, wheeling mightily, floating blissfully, through Time and Space. All upon the Wheel of the Cosmic Potter.

  Meanwhile in Jakarta, Indonesia, thousands of people live in shacks and shanties, combing through the great heaps of a colossal Landfill site in order to make a bare living, while, over the wall, a comparative few live in considerable luxury and privilege (did you see that BBC TV.programme yesterday?).

 Much the same, in varying scales, the whole World over.

OK - we come to this Planet to learn - "The Hard Way" - but, surely, it time for a change of Syllabus ?

 Together, we are "working on it"....We hope to see the old Pyramids and Hierarchies of power be transformed into Circles of Friendship. If it can be conceived in the mind, it can be born in actuality.
The Quakers, or Society of Friends, have an excellent working model  - I recommend finding out more about this for yourself

 Planet Mars, in the current phase of the Cosmic Dance, is taking a twirl Backward,- in Retrograde motion from 24 January to 14 April 2012. Traditionally, while Mars is Retrograde, it is wise to defer any major decisions until he/it turns Direct in motion, and even better to wait until Mars leaves the Retrograde Loop altogether  on 19 June - from then 'til the end of that month looks Very Interesting, Astrologically: more detail in a subsequent blog on this stirring time .
 However - if you MUST take a major step of some kind during that period, then go ahead - and trust the Spirit to guide, inform  and accompany you ..
 "The Stars Impel, they do not Compel", remember.

 Incidentally, NOT a good time to initiate a War - Presidents and Potentates please take note. Or at any time, actually, - how about beating those Swords into Ploughshares . Drones into Solar Panels.Bombs into Bread: - that kind of thing..
